The Hunter CLC offers law students a number of opportunities to get involved in its programs and activities through our –

Practical Legal Training (PLT) Placements
Practical Legal Training Placements are also available for law students interested in assisting with law reform, community legal education or other activities. PLT placements are generally offered following an interview and are limited to the duration of the student’s placement requirement. Students who obtain a placement have the opportunity to become involved in all aspects of legal practice in a community legal centre including:

  • law reform project work
  • research
  • client and stakeholder surveys and drafting documents
  • correspondence
  • fact sheets
  • brochures
  • law reform submissions, and
  • other community legal education material

Applications for PLT placements should be made in writing to the Coordinator enclosing a current resume and an expression of interest and lodged by email to admin@hunterclc.com.au
